The harmonisation of the quadrilingual terminology collections hosted by the LexALP Term Bank is carried out by the Harmonising Group.
The Harmonising Group is responsible for the final validation of harmonisation proposals (term quadruplets) identified by the terminology work jointly carried out by legal experts and terminologists. The Harmonising Group consists of representatives of project partners and observers and draws on further advice provided by external experts in the specific fields of spatial planning and sustainable development. With their expertise, the members of the Harmonising Group cover and fully represent all legal systems, all languages as well as all fields under analysis.
During the official meetings the Harmonising Group evaluates, discusses and, if necessary, modifies the harmonisation proposals. Finally, the term quadruplets are officially validated and made freely available to a wide public via the LexALP Information System.
